Breeding 2 animals from the same clutch?

JDalbo Aug 02, 2006 03:21 PM

Are there any negative side effects if you purchase a male and female, with the intent of breeding, and they are from the same clutch? Thanks, Joe

I've bred father to daughter, son to mom, and brother to sister which I have hatched, with no ill effects.

no problems yet, but I'm a small scale breeder, and would always encourage outbreeding whenever possible.

sorry probably not much help.

If I was buying snakes to specificly breed, I would outcross. JMO
