Heat on the East Coast

wilsocks Aug 02, 2006 06:35 PM

I live on Long Island, NY and the heat has been so oppressive, I have been able to shut down all electricity and still the temps are up. Has anyone else in the area have had any problems? Anything I should be looking out for?

Yes, I am in the boroughs and it is crazy. This heat is unreal. I do construction and I had to send my guys home at 12 today it was just too HOT.
I am running an A/C 24 hrs to keep my reptile room just right.

I'm out in manorville and its been HOT! My room usually stays around 80 with all of my cages and helixes running. The last two weeks, I have had to keep my snake room door open which faces my finished basement which is fitted with central air. I have my air set at 73 AND IT STILL only keeps my room at about 83 during the day. Its HOT! stay cool
