The Mysterious Rainbow Boa is Peruvian!!

brock1732 Aug 03, 2003 02:46 PM

I have been asking how to identfy my snake because i was informed he was peruvian but I was not sure. I recently just counted the scales several different times and got either 41 or 42 everytime i counted. I was then again informed by the person who gave him to me that he is in fact peruvian! I'm either going to sell him to a person that offers the most money but MOST likely i will by a female and breed him because of his magnificant colors. If anyone has any beatufiul peruvian females out that please email me at brock1732@netscape.net along with prices and pics!! thanks again for all the help in identifying him

Brock,
. I am glad it did actually turn out to be a Peruvian Rainbow. Where did you get it? There are very few true Peruvians offered for sale.

I was working at a reptile park in tennesee and there was another guy that worked there that bred surinam red tails. he had come accross this peruvian rainbow boa and he gave him to me as a gift for working (i was just volunteering, no pay). he specified he was peruvian but didn't care for him obviously! Jeff do you have any female peruvians i could purchase or perhaps want to purchase mine?

Brock,
. I have a trio of adults. One laid a big pile of slugs this year. I hope for better results in the future. I will be at the NRBE in Daytona two weeks from now. If I see anyone with Peruvians there I will let you know.
