Annulata vs alterna hatchlings - feeding

mike17l Aug 02, 2006 11:19 PM

How difficult is it to get annulata hatchlings to eat, compared to alterna. I have 18 alternas right now (with 3 more pipping) And I have 7 annulata that all pipped (with in 4 hours of each other) yesterday. Will they rewuire scenting? Should they feed roght off on FT? Will I need lizards(I have a source)? Any info on these guys compared to alterna, would be appreceated.

Michael Leidner

PS And these are some of the biggest neonates I have seen, compared to E. guttata and L. alterna.

Some of my annulata feed on pinks right away and the others take scented pinks. They usually graduate to unscented pinks after just a few meals.

Coach, Where do you get the little hats and tassels?

out of curiousity, what do you use to scent your pinkies? I also keep crested geckos and an iguana, would that do the trick to rub a pink on?

Regards

Gary

I use skinks, geckos or fence lizards....... which ever I have. They all work. The hats and tassels I rent at El Camino Rentals.
