We met up with Andy Holycross, author of the upcoming new book on the herps of AZ, in the s. Chiricahua grasslands. Ed and I had a small, dark rattler we thought might be a massasauga (one of my target sps.), and we're trying to get pics when Andy and Tom B. came along. They i.d.'ed it for us a mojave. Darn. But I did get pics of a massa Andy had. Great fun and what a great guy
We didn't get up in the mtns. much because of the rain and cool temps, and didn't see much when we did. But it was a good trip nonetheless, and I did get a couple lifer lizards. It's always great to experience the Chiricahuas and what a super meeting place.
I say "hi" to all I met out there. Good luck on your ventures, especially Tim and Chris going down into ol' Mexico.
