Why Doesn`t anyone breed albino?

fugisnap Aug 03, 2006 02:15 PM

Just for sake of conversation, it baffles me that no one in the reptile loving world breeds albino chelydra, I would think that there would be an interest in them and sales would be good , I know I would love to acquire one or two . Does anyone anywhere that we know of breed them, whether for sale or personal collection? I`ve never heard of anyone myself. Are common snappers that hard to breed in captivity? Or is that a pair is so hard to find? Looking forward to all answers. Thanks

Albino snappers are rare in captivity I have personnally only heard or seen about half a dozen I've seen some for sale maybe 2-3 times for $1000-$3000. I think the fact that they are so rare and costly one they are avaiable they aren't established I'm sure there are a few folks working with some albino snappers do.
