That is to be expected.

Is he sick, in your opinion? (not eating, basking, moving etc.)
If so, take him to the vet.

If he's not demonstrating signs of illness, you might want to leave him be until (if) he does. It is said a healthy monitor fights off parasites, and they do not become a health issue. If you keep the enclosure real clean, he will be denied the chance to reinfect himself, and may just rid himself of them entirely. But again, this is said of a healthy monitor.

How well are you providing for him? Is yours healthy?
This is for you to decide, not people over the internet. Your pet, your decision.
Good luck.

crickets and pinkies

Are you sure it's not just some of the cricket's shell pieces?I had a Blackthroat that ate chicks and pieces of their feet would come out undigested. It looked like worms at first, until I realized what it was.If it is active and eating,I wouldn't worry too much.If it stops eating, then a trip to the vet might be a good choice.

The first time I saw cricket eggs in the water dish I freaked. I took in some to my vet, and no one there knew what they were. Then I noticed them along the side of the tank. After further observation, I realized that they were hatching! Theyre(baby crix) soo small when they hatch that they are barely visible to the naked eye.
