Blaze Goini Pic

Tony D Aug 04, 2006 12:37 PM

Here's a quick shot of one of the Blaze phase goini I hatched. Also tried to get some pics of my thayeri but man talk about difficult subjects. I thought coastals were difficult. Don't know how some of you guys get these crystal clear macro shots of these explosive little buggers.

That is a real beauty. How many did you get? Tom Stevens

Only got five. I started with 13 eggs but lost most during incubation. I've heard of a lot of that happening this year.

I know what you mean Tony! These goini have proved to be the most difficult to photo for me....
I should take a few minutes to get better ones but I'm always in a hurry to get them done...

Even the belly shots have been so difficult for me

that I am beginning to use a deli cup and taking the pic of the snake's belly from beneath the upside down cup!

Do they keep that coloring as they get older?

They lose the color. But they are still smokin. Also there is a lot of variability with these.

Here is a timeline of my breeder male:

Smokin' indeed! Glad there is no burn ban where you are, lol!

underbelly:

here is a better pic of the male. The one above had to much direct sunlight to see the color:

underbelly of the male:

I have had this male for a year now. This is a pic from last year. It has not lost much of its red and today is about 2 ft. So they must lose the red when they get near full grown.

Spicing up the strain a bit. This will make for some interesting double hets. I am still waiting on these eggs to hatch, so if anyone wants some speak up now!

This is a pic from the double het "Sean" line. Tom has these now.
Hypo brooksi X Blaze

Gulf Coast Lav brooksi X apalachicola
Jet, I know , I know. I will post pics of the babies soon
