A 20 gallon long tank would be best...any tank with a secure lid will work. i would ue either paper towels or newspaper..less stuff to deal with cleaning up. there will be a mess when she has her babies. After they have all arrived, you can move them to a separate tank and enjoy!!!
what are you feeding her now??? they generally go off feed a week or 2 before giving birth. they will also shed their skin before birth. feeder goldfish are good to start, if you plan on keeping her, you can use a variety of fish, worms, and possibly rodents. the babies can be started on feeder guppies after 3-4 days.
I'd start the young on scented f/t pinky parts.. one wrong batch of guppies or any feeder can give you more parasites then you need. Scent it with guppies, or worms.
