Snake on National Geographics

I saw this show called something like Snake wranler or something like that. I've seen it a few times. It's about this woman in India who rescue snakes and inform people about snakes. At one point she's teaching this other girl how to handle snakes so she can help her out. So she's given this BIG colubrid to handle and it bites her right below her eye. I think they mention it's a ratsnake. I would really like to find out what kind of snake it was. It was well over six feet. I'd say close to 8. Brown coloration. Typical asian rat snake shape. I first thought it was some kind of Ptyas, but the pictures I've seen had much to large eyes. Any ideas?

In India, a big brown unicolored snake of that size would have to be a Ptyas (if it wasn't a cobra of some sort!). They have quite large eyes.
