Aggressive Subadult Male

I am new to Cresteds and breeding but am looking to start. I have heard that females can be kept together and a mix of a male and females can be kept together with no aggressive behavior. We have a 30g crested that was sold to us (at 24g) as a male but to us looks very female including with an 8x loop. We have 4 other males to compare it to and seams obvious to us. Yesterday I had a 18g male out with this one playing near each other. I was trying to see if I could cage them together. The 18g male after examining the 30g crested bit it on its back leg and would not let go until I separated them. The gecko is just fine, but I am concerned about the aggressive behavior of the other one. The 18g male has always been very gentle and we have never had a problem before. He is one of our more mellow ones. Has anyone ever heard of a male showing dominance over a female like this or is this possibly a male that does not look male. Any ideas.

By 30g it in no way should require a 8x glass to determine if its male. Yould know.

Mating behavior between geckos is rough and includes biting .Many owners break apart geckos attempting to mate.(not recommended)

However ..what I have found is placing animals of a great size variation 18 g /30g together wether male or female will result in the smaller animals being bullied and chased from the food source. The stress that results is very unhealthy for the animal and will inhibit growth or result in death.
