but can do harm. It's an Arizona Coral that ate a skink tonight. As for your question below, Pine Woods are not good to handle. You might wish to seek a garter snake if you wish to avoid feeding rodents. Garters feed on fish and frogs and also rodents if you wish. Or even a green snake which eats crickets. Good Luck.

Here is my Micrurus f. fulvius finishing off a baby 5-line skink. It is his second in the last 5 days.

Anything I'm aware of in the Storeria genus eat worms, snails, and slugs but can be difficult to keep. The Smooth Greensnake eats small insects but is another species hard to keep in captivity. I'd try talking to a breeder in your area to find the species best for your needs/wants.
I can also recommend that you look into gatersnakes. As noted above, they are fond of frogs, fish, earthworms, and the like. They do not get too big, and are easy to handle. They are available in several species and morphs.
They are excellent starter snakes.
