new to Uros

ackiesnalbigs Aug 04, 2006 07:56 PM

hello everyone, im kinda new to uros here, well not kinda, totally new, and just picked up 3 baby ornates, and one baby morroccan. These blow bearded dragons out of the water in my honest opinion and are such fun little captives. I keep monitors, and until now, most other reptiles have never kept my interest like varanids, but im happy to say im totally captivated by these little gems.

Welcome to the forums, and to Uros! The best lizards around, though I may be slightly biased.

Super! You're starting out with the best (ornates) in my opinion. You'll see the best in them when they reach adulthood. But, in the meantime, keep a watchful eye on them if kept together. Chances are, after a few months, they'll get competitive & you'll have to seperate them.

I will keep an eye out, these are about a month old now, come feeding time they already become kinda competitive for food, usually grabbing out of each others mouths. but as of now they just stack up under the light and soak up the heat most of the day.
thanks for the heads up
