These 2 females (10,11 pound, 58" and one male kept in 4x2 cages... I was thinking of keeping the females together. What do you think ?

I know breeders keep groups of 3 - 5 adult bloods in 6 - 8 feet long cages, where they breed and live for years.

Should I move the 2 females together, or keep them seperate ? I will be breeding them this winter.

If I were you I'd invest into some radiant heat panels, then throw them on a helix thermostat. Its pricey but worth it in the long run.I used to run dimmers and I had to adjust them everyday for night temps and day temps. Also I did run heat tape under my melamine cages.I put little pegs or foot glides on the bottom about 3/8" high which gave the heat tape some room to breath, but It wouldn't keep up so good on the really cold nights unless I threw some blankets over it.That got old quick to the radient heat panels got ordered. Also they don't tend to dry out the air so fast as lamps and ceramic heat panels.

Also I'd run contact paper on all walls of your cage to help with moistier and it also helps with the humidity a little. Also make sure you caulk in all corners or you'll end up with bad swelling.

Do you know that paper with the sticky side you would use to line your kitchen drawers and cabinets, well thats it.They come in a roll in a variety of colors. It's just double protection and I noticed a bump up in keeping humidity. Also its easy to wipe up the messes.
