I just wanted to see if you guys think I have a good settup for my baby Fire Skink.

It's in a 10gallon tank with about 3inches of Sphagnum peat dirt stuff. I have a large water dish and some things to hide under. I also have the UV tube and a 50watt heat bulb. Sound good? Thanks.

sounds great just watch the bulb on hot days as they raise the temp very high . you could connect it to a lamp light dimmer they sell at home depot ,etc to increase-decrease the light,heat but set up sounds good.

They have a good article on Fire skinks in captivity in a back issue of Reptile magazine . Think the only article on captive care of fire skinks .

Do you know which issue of Reptiles?

Sorry I didnt answer sooner I forgot to click on that email notification but glad someone did answer. I just saw some unreal babies at a reptile show real nice but didnt get any .Nice to see being bred in captivity to bad impossible to sex as babies
