Any tips for a new timor monitor owner

emericask8er515 Aug 06, 2006 10:23 AM

I just recently got a timor monitor a couple days ago and the person I bought her from said that she was a cb and about a year old but she is really jumpy. If I barley touch her she will start running around her enclosure. If anyone has any tips on what to do I would really appreciate your help.

Just leave it alone for 4 t0 5 days without disturbing it, letting it acclimate to its new surrounding. Monitor can be very stressful when it comes to changing its surrounding; they prefer rutine. Anything out of the ordinary they know it, and they become very stress. So I would suggest leaving it alone first before you try to feed it or looking at it. Make sure it has a large water dish, large enough for it to soak in, so it can take a drink if it wants.
