Caudal Luring

phobos Aug 06, 2006 04:04 PM

My Bitis caudalis was very hungry today. When I introduced the FT mouse she started "Caudal Luring" which she only does ocassionally. I stopped, withdrew the mouse and positioned my video camera to watch the action...Click the link below to see video.

Cheers!

What a great video....that was some serious luring going on! Mine typically do some token luring but not quite like that; must have been one hungry snake. Thanks for posting.

So YOU'RE youtube's viperkeeper, Al! I knew it had to be someone here, your vids are excellent and the first thing I look for on youtube.

Awesome. I couldn't find the frame between when the snake's head was just sitting there and then out of the picture. This video should be required viewing for anyone asking about a Bitis spp. for a good first hot.
