Baby blotchie is doing well (thanks to me going out everyday and catching food for him...uh, her! Yup! The coloring is showing more and I think it is a girl! She was a month on Saturday. Will have to take some pics, but she is a bit shy. I think Mama Ana may have one more clutch to go for the season - maybe I can get one more to survive so little Ana has a sister (or brother). It's always weird to think of an animal as a certain gender and then suddenly think of it differently!

every year our local middle school does a summer Arts program (amazing!). They learn three world tales (in a week!) do all the costume and artwork themselves and music. I have no kids but always go b/c the neighborhood children are in it. Last night one story from Africa was called Mufaro's Beautiful Daughters and one of them was named Nyasha (she was the GOOD daughter )

All my female animals names (except for Skippy, but she came that way) end in "A". The name popped out as I was watching the play and thus she was named. I looked it up and it means "mercy" - fitting since she was the only egg to hatch out of 4 or 5 clutches!
