no.....
I'm sure it will be possible pretty soon. If they've been scientists have been successfull cross-breeding other types of animals, it could be done with a snake.
Even if it was genetically cloned or created.
Hi there, while you may be right that scientists are rapidly advancing in genetic science, crossing pythons and boas will probably be pretty far down the list of experiments.
Very True, I think it is definately something that should be looked into. I mean..to be able to breed a species that lays eggs with a species that gives live birth would be a breakthrough.
I'm not quite sure on where I stand on this subject though. The whole cloning, genetically creating animals could be a bit much. However, if they were to successfully recreate animal species such as Tigers, for example, and other species that are rapidly declining in the wild, i wouldn't be against it. As long as the animal has perfectly normal behavior as the wild animals had, and it helped the species stay alive, Im for it.
The problem with creating animals in a laboratory to replace lost wild stock is that with carnivores....hunting abilities are passed down through generations through observing the parents hunting and learning social structure.....that cannot be reproduced in a lab.
