Although ball python hatchling hemipenies will not look that elongated When you pop a hatchling ball you will see a roundish structure pop out....when you roll your thumb foward two little red/pinkish projections will come "out" if it is a male. In a female(popped correctly) or in a male that is not popped correctly, you will only see the roundish structure (the scent gland)....NERD's book has the best ball python popping pics...borrow it or buy one! Trust me it is worth the money!
