cricket size

crazydragon Aug 07, 2006 01:05 PM

my beardie is a runt, she was given free to a good home.she is 13 inches long and will soon be a year old. The space between her eyes is 3/4 inches. My question is it it better to feed her the proper size crickets (eats about 20-30 each meal) or many smaller ones (1/4). We bye 500 to 1000 crickets at a time and I worry that they will outgrow her if I buy 1/2 inch. She still refuses to eat greens, though we keep trying. Thanks

she could easily eat 3/4 in crickets. more of the smaller ones are always better than less of the bigger one. roaches are also excellent feeders, much better than crickets. www.blaberus.com 1 roach is almost like 10 crickets. much more meat less water.

offer greens with some color. add some blackberries, strawberries, blueberries, carrots, etc. anything with color to help them get the greens. some superworms on top will be good too
