Was any diagnostics done? You can rarely give a diagnoses with just a look at the animal. Was the snake stargazing for months before you took it to the vet? I can see how the DVM might think this isn't IBD for that reason. I must ask though; is this snake suffering needlessly and is it time for euthanasia? If you decide to continue treatment, then it should be much more vigorous than you described or you're wasting your time and money. Ask the vet what else he/she can do for your snake and don't offer any budget constraints (the sicker the animal, the more expensive it is to treat). Perhaps a referal to a specialist is necessary.

Good luck with this difficult case.

ALL they did when i took her to the vet it look at her and gave me antibiotics to give her, if she doesnt get better by then and im going to have to take her back in. Im pretty sure its not ibd, yes shes been stargazing for months and iv heard it usually doesnt last that long. If it is IBD then its a wierd case because usually stargazing comes last or close to and by that time its pretty much dead. But contrary to that her other symptoms came last. She looks alot better since ive been giving her medecine so im hoping that everything will be ok. IF you have any more info i would appreciate it

Some progress is better than none, have you called them back with your concerns.? Now I can't see the patient, so can only really guess how bad this really is, but my impression is that is should be hospitalized. If that wern't a possibility, then daily or bi-daily visits for parental fluid therapy and medications that might exceed antibiotics. This of course, should all be supported with the proper diagnostics.

Again, I'm an outsider looking in, but I might consider asking for a referal if you're not happy with the progress being made.
