Breeding size for a female BRB

kryolla Aug 03, 2003 06:55 PM

HI,
I have a female produced in 2001 and she weights 4 lbs. Do you think she is big enough to breed this year or should I wait till next year. Thanks

Kryolla,
. 4 pounds is plenty large enough. Larger is better. Between now and when you cool her this winter you can probably put some more weight on her. I have had some females that bred when they were 30 months old and had babies when they were 36 months old. Some others would not breed until they were 42 months old though.
