Hatchlings leos would probably be able to eat baby mealworms but they might not take it. I know that my hatchlings wouldn't go after a mealworm because it didn't move that much so I fed them crickets untill they got about five inches longthen switched to mealworms.

A hatchling leopard gecko should be able to take small to medium mealies. All my hatchlings were started on mealies and have never seen a cricket since their birth. I've never had them refuse to eat the mealies.

The previous reply is correct. Most babies will not take mealies, this is something you will have to gradually introduce to them after they have grown some.
