Hey Jeff, just a quick question....I have had people tell me that if the side medalians are red they are sunglows and if they have the white spot in middle they are albinos....

Yours...I must say looks sunglow....but fits albino description...What is yours and what is your take on this theory? I have seen manny times people wondered what to sell them as. Thanks Andy Federico

From my very limited knowlege, I would have to say...I do not see Jungle....if it was from a Jungle litter, then yeah maybe a possible...but the eyes just don't shout Jungle to me....But what do I know....lol...
Take care. Andy

The side medallions may have white in a sunglow if the het or DH that produced it had black in those areas. The only way that I could see that to be true is from two DH that had no black in their medallions.

The traits people always point out are the lack of white rings in the tail blotches above the vent. The blotches on the tail itself often have white rings just as F1 Hypos often have Black rings there. In extreme Sunglows they have no white rings around their tail blotches.

Also, pinched saddles are usually a characteristic, especially with Salmon blood. That and the outlines where the traits that made picking out the Hypo Snow from a Snow so easy.
Some C.A. or selectively bred Hypo lines do not have pinched saddles, and I have seend Ghosts and Sunglows with broad thick saddles.

That info helps alot...I have seen some with the white in the middle sold as Sunglows and it always raised some questions....also I saw a few in the past that I really thought were Sunglows and they were sold as Albinos...I guess the true test is breeding...but I thank you for that info! Take care. Andy
