Hello I got bit in the finger today feeding my burmese black mountain. She drew blood and its like a paper cut. I washed it with all the medical stuff and cleaned it well. I had a tetanus shot last fall. She is healthy a CB and three years. Any issues to worry about??

I can't think of anything specific you need to do other than watch the wound for any signs of infection. They can carry salmonella but that is more likely to cause an intestinal infection rather than a wound infection. How big is the tortoise? I have an emy and he eats so gently that I can't imagine being bit. My leopards eat like savages and I get nipped frequently but thats because they want to get every last bite. Tom

I had a male that was fresh import back a while ago, and when he would get scared he would try to bite me! the only burmese i've ever had that tries to bite me! but when it comes to feeding, my big ones 19" are very aggresive feeders, they kill each other trying to get to food, i divide it up in piles now so that its not such a fight! but i wouldn't be worried about it, I was hand feeding one of my large sulcata's one day a head of lettuce and i was looking the other way and she accidently got a hold of two of my fingers and would not let go, but i was fine after that, lol, hope that helps, thanks alot

HiYa Cuz,
Well, you could soak it in some of that "TUSCAN" elixir?
Probably should have it fitted for a muzzle? Signs on
property: Beware, Attack Tortoise!! It's just it's "REPTILE"
way of getting back at you for forcing it to poop!! Regardez
