I am thinking about bordering my water basin with moss so that the moss will help dry off the water dragons and keep substrate out of the water.

I was wondering if the moss sold at the pet and home improvement stores was alive, and what would be a good way to set it up.

I am considering laying a grate or wire mesh for the moss to attach to, or simply laying it on top of soil.

Any ideas or suggestions about what kind of moss to use or anything else is appreciated.
