SUPER MOTLEYS.......

Jeremy Stone Aug 09, 2006 03:30 PM

This is probably my favorite site in ALL of breeding. For some reason, I never dreamed the Motley would make a snake like this. I'm very happy. Sometimes you win, sometimes you loose.

Earlier this year I bred a Motley het Anerythristic Female to a Motley Male and she gave me 16 babies. There were NO Super Motleys. That is like breeding a Het to Het, and getting 16 babies and NO albinos.

Then, this female took care of the other miss. I wasn't so confident after that 16 baby miss. I took my son to the Dr. today, and Josh called me and didn't tell me about the litter. WHen I got home, I went into the room, and he told me to come and check something out. I aksed him why he didn't tell me on the phone. He said he wanted to see my face. LOL!!!!!

BOAS RULE!!!!!!!!!!! 4 more litters and we are DONE for the year. BRING ON 2007!!!!!!

I hope everyone is having a great season.

to see your face too! Bet you weren't mad at him after seeing those babies though! Congrats on the Supers.

Not a bad find. Looks like something that will have a place in boa breeding for a long time to come.

Congrats

Those who know me, also know that I am a strong advocate of "recessive" genes, but the Super versions of the Motleys and the Jungles certainly has to make me stop and think twice.

Nice finish to the 2006 season ... going out with a BANG!

Bill

you still like Homozygous forms, lol.

To me the only part about a Jungle I like are being able to make Supers!

Hey Bill,

Thanks for the Reply. How are you doing? Will I see you in Daytona? Best of luck this year. Jeremy

By the way, I like your site. It looks good.

Yes, Marilyn and I will be there. It has been a real hectic summer and we are both ready for a break and an opportunity to get away from our daily routines.

See you there ... Bill

Some struggle with just one litter, but I'm sure that 15 litters are extremley difficult to manage. Great job guys!!!

I wish you all could have seen the look on his face...
It was classic, even better then I thought...
When I opened the cage and saw those two little beautiful boas this morning I knew that I didn't want to tell him over the phone... So I started to plan what would be best... I haven't seen Jeremy that excited in a while... I just love working with these boas everyday... I consider myself very lucky to be able to do something I love... These super Motley's are just killer... This picture does nothing for them... As soon as they shed I will take some killer pictures of these babies and post them...
Here is a pic of one of my little girls, I hope to produce some supers myself some day...
Thanks
Josh Ketchum
