Will leo's breed all year round or do most breed only in season? What are the seasons?

Leos only breed once a year. You need to cool them down for about two weeks I believe. Here is a good website to help you if you want to breed your leao.

Actually you can breed them whenever. You do need to get them adequate rest though. I have a male in his prime that breeds 10 months of the year. Not in a row, I give him a week or two in between sessions to get his energy and drive back.

I tried to put a pair of leopard gecko's together that had never seen each other, but nothing happened. I'm absolutely postive that they are a pair (male/female), so I'm going to try to do a cooling down period from the middle of September to the end of October. Hopefully that will stimulate them to breed. This male has lived with a female his whole life, so that might be part of the problem. I just got him from a friend of mine.

Yeah if they were grown up together then he definately won't have a drive. It's a good idea to split them up for a bit and you might even try to get another female. Hope that helps.

I can't spell....definitely.

This is probably a stupid question, but you said that if they grow up together they may not have a sexual drive? I just bought 3 babies and I eventually plan on breeding them. 1 male and 2 female in case you were wondering. They all live together right now. I kinda wanted them to. If I want them to breed am I gonna have to split them up? I'm confused.

No, I think if you just cool them down, they will breed. You don't have to separate them.

Leos breed from early spring to early summer producing 5 or 6 clutches of two eggs per year. I have never cooled mine significantly...just the natural cooling that happens with the difference from summer to winter. I leave the lights and heat on all year and they reproduce well.
