getting a collard

dragonking24 Aug 09, 2006 06:49 PM

I was just wondering if collared lizards are cool to have. I already have 3 beardies and a leo plus spiders, and scorps. And i thought they seemed easy to care for and seemed pretty cool. But i figured i ask the pros on them since im a beardie boy. But any thoughts would help.

P>S> yes i will be able to care for whatever i get if anybody was wondering.

I have a few lizards and I think that my Collared Lizards the most intelligent and have the most personality of all of them. I don't think you would go wrong.

I've been enjoying my male collared, he is a very fun little guy and if you are already enjoying other lizards I think adding a collared to your collection would be very cool. You might consider starting with a female, because then if you wanted another you could get another female to avoid breeding, or get a male and try to breed. I suggest this because two males can't go together.

Well, over the years I have kept so many different kinds of lizards that I literally can't count count them all. That said, the collareds are my hands-down favorite. They are small and relatively easy to house and feed; they are quite easy to tame; they have appealing, clown-like personalities; and they are simply beautiful lizards. Moreover, unlike some of the larger lizards, they won't leave scars all over your body (Iguana owners know of what I speak!).

In short, collareds are the perfect lizard.

On top of all that they never seem to sit still, and provide hours of entertainment, I can watch them for hours and not get bored...... they will honestly make ya smile, mine do, best pet I've ever had.

Nice to have you here, your dragon is quite handsome If you like dragons you will love a collared!
If handled they become very friendly and are quite active and fun to watch. Let alone the fact they are just so diverse in color and pattern, just beautiful lizards.

I lost my dragon last year after 7 years, he was a good boy, sweet, gentle and very LAZY, hehehhee lol loved to eat and brumate.

Best wishes with your collared Quest.... let us know when ya get one/them, holler if ya need help, always someone here.
