New corn- Needs a name!!!

Cazzy Aug 09, 2006 06:52 PM

Ok, I just got a new baby corn and I already love him to death! He is sooo much nicer (personality wise) than my previous kingsnake. What he needs now is a name! I just cant decide/think of anything I really like, so I hope I can get some help on this. I like unusual names, or names that describe the snake or his attributes such as color, species, etc. I also like just using strange/uncommon words as names. Anyways, feel free to post as many names as you'd like! Any help with this would be very much appreciated!

Let's see, he's a male and a Crimson Corn if that makes name choice any easier. Also, he was sold to me as a crimson but his color just seems so light. Is this natural? Im not too familiar with the crimson coloring...especially on baby snakes. So here's a pic right after he shed (and ate) that best represents his natural color. Any input on this would be helpful!

Well, I am horrible with names. I have enough trouble finding names for my own snakes! I generally just sit and watch a snake. I give it a good look-over for special marks and usually something pops in my head. I have a snake named Striker because it always struck at me when I first got it. Mickey because he had a perfect mickey mouse shape on his head. Bubba, because he is the biggest corn I have ever seen. I hope some of these help.

Mainly, I just wanted to say that is a beautiful snake. Sign me up for one! I will definitely will be looking for one of those at the next reptile show!

First of all, BEAUTIFUL snake!!! Congrats.

Names well that's a lil harder, Frosty went threw about a dozen names before I decided on his name.

Blaze, Fyre, Indy (crimson and cream are IU's colors), Lava, RedRider, shorten it to rider. lol I dont know, there are a million names you can come up with, he/she is a beauty all the same.

First of all, congrats on your new addition! He is a real beauty, and just to warn you, I am like Misty and I go through several names before I find the "perfect" one. One thing that makes it easier (or harder) for me is that I name my snakes alphabetically. I too like unorthodox names, especially the 4-letter ones that go consonant vowel consonant vowel. (Numa, Maya, Cujo etc.) Anyway, enough about me, here are some names I like. I actually only got partway through an alphabetical pet name list before it felt like my brain would explode, so I will give you the link to finish up. (Even though it says just cats or dogs some of the names are good for snakes too.)

Adoni - Aboriginal, meaning sunset
Baci - Italian for "kisses"
Bijou - jewel
Kado - fun loving (This one's my favorite)

Hope I helped, I know how hard it is to pick out the perfect name. Good luck!

Beautifull snake! I would first like to point out that the sbake will most likely pick its own name. Most do something or have markings that just stick out to you.
The first name that popped into my head was "Crimson Tide." Good luck with deciding!

Booger Lips Johnson, I really like that one. Or......Alpha since it is your first snake (currently) Or.....DORITO!!!!!!!like dorito's corn chips, maybe be a copy right infringement if you breed him, may want to check with Lays first.

Oh well, I never name mine so that is the best I can do for you.
