I have. Nice little snakes. Most I have had were lizard eaters. A few have been mousers. IMO like glossy's, they don't get the appreciation they should get.

Have yet to see one in the wild. Another of our (CA) native herps I am extremely interested in. I think last year @ our exhibit, somebody from the herp club I belong to had one. Neat looking snake. Again, the question is posed, why do some snakes gain so much popularity in the pet trade, and not others that are in most aspects quite similar to the popular firmly established ones?

I had a big Texas patchnose many years ago. It would eat mice like a savage. Hopefully they will draw more interest at some point. I remember when $20.00 was a lot for a garter snake of any type. Look at it now. Some run into the hundreds. Go figure.
