Another off topic question

I was given a ball python last weekend and noticed it spent lots of time in the water dish. Tonight when I looked at it it had mites. Guess there is no such thing as a free snake. Walmart was the only place open and all they had was the little tins for bird mites. Do you think that would work. 15-16 years of keeping snakes and lizards and this a first for me.

Black Knight will get rid of them, but it's expensive as far as treatments go...I would spend the extra cash to stop it in it's tracks though....
