it's a decent camera, only cost around 275 Canadian. It takes pretty good pics, but sometimes the flash can wash out the pic. If I spent some time fooling around with the settings though I'm sure it could be fixed.
It only has digital zoom, optical zoom would have been nice. If you're willing to spend a little more you should grab one with an optical zoom. You don't really need 6 megapixels unless you're super serious about photography.

Go to your local Best Buy or Circuit City, and check out their digital cameras. Most of the Nikons you can get for in that price range, and they are a great camera. I am sure someone else will be able to help you out more with this.
