If it were me, I'd cut the night crawler in to several very small bite sized chunks, in a little dish or on a paper towl. You want the girth of the food item about the width of the garter, or less. Length maybe a 1/4 in length. Though wandering garters are born at a decent size as babies, you may go with slightly larger bites. Night crawlers are very big, so you will have to do some sliceing and dicing, LOL
If this is the wandering garter your talking about, I'd get that little bad boy on pinkie parts. Should be very easy with them.

>>I was wondering how big should a piece of night crawler be to feed to a neonate (both width and length). Also how do I present the food item such as strips of fish or nightcrawlers to the babies? ( like put them on a small rock or hand feed?) None of the stores around here have guppies or minnows small enough to be fed to the babies and its been a week since they were born and almost a week since they ate, so I'm getting desperate, so please help. Thanks.
