Aglypha or Opisthoglypis

hogdaze Aug 10, 2006 04:51 PM

I was combing herp laws where I live today and found that "poisonous" rear fanged species required a permit - they used the term Opisthoglypis to describe these animals. While doing a little searching to make sure I wasn't doing anything illegal I came across the term aglypha. From what I got from the discussion on these the difference is that Opisthoglypis have rear fangs that are grooved and aglypha do not have grooves. Now time for the question: Which group do western hognose fall into?
Thanks,
Andrew
