Birthing Problem - need advise

whitneywee Aug 10, 2006 05:51 PM

We have an 02 bci female, first litter. Two nights ago passed first a stillborn, later a healthy live baby. So far nothing more, no slugs or pills or anything. Hard to believe more of something isn't coming. How long can it take? Mark

It can take a while sometimes. More likely not a good sign though. Is she in distress? Does she have any large bulges? Signs of impaction etc?

Read her recently about a litter where the female passed a baby with her waxy stool, then later had her litter fine.

I believe that was Jeff that had that same thing happen not too long ago. Scroll through the pages a little and you'll find the thread.
