Who's up for FAT holbrooki!?

mattbrock Aug 10, 2006 07:37 PM

I'll tell you what. I have been very impressed with the feeding responses of these Johnson, KS hatchlings. Of the six I kept only one has not eaten at least one f/t unscented pink, which is a lot more success I've ever had with any other holbrooki clutch. These two are for sure going to be my holdbacks, and I may decide to keep more, but here goes........

Male

Female

Very nice indeed. Are they eating more than one pinky? Those are some chubby babies. I can't recall if you're going to Daytona or not? I am leaving monday, driving and going for a little vacation before the weekend. Will be there on Friday.

Tom, it seems as if they have eaten more than one pink because they are so small....lol. I have never hatched holbrooki as small as these before. They are hardly larger than L. t. syspila.

Unfortunately, I'm not making Daytona this year. I went in 2004 and Charley about destroyed my truck(over $3,900 in damage), missed 2005, and this year I start school the week of the show....so go figure. It's a 12 hour drive for us and we just can't do it this year.

Aw man that is tough........I had my car in the parking garage next to the ocean center the year of the hurricaine and made it out unscathed. I was hoping you'd get to see my hets and White Walls. It's about 20 hours or so for us. The things we do for snakes...... Tom Stevens

Trust me, I'd love to see your hets. I really hate that I'm going to miss the opportunity to put faces to screen names too...lol. Maybe next year. I thought about getting a booth for 2007 as I'll hopefully have an extroardinary year with the carpet pythons. We shall see.

Sweet! Fat little guys. You're lucky. I'd like to get a male for my (still) little '05 female.
