Just got a new camera, and wanted to see what it could do, so here is a close-up head shot of Perezoso, my ball python. I will try to get some good full-body shots of her soon.

people have been taking incredible closeups with the nikons, I should have done more research b4 I bought my sony cybershot, I may have to replace my current camera with one like yours

Well, I had a little Olympus before, but like you said, I too have seen some incredible macro shots and wanted a camera that could do that.
I upgraded to got a Sony DSC-H5. I have a great close-up of the scales of my gopher snake. Also, the camera takes very good video with sound. If you get a new camera I would get something at least 6 mp.
