columbian problem, HELP!!!

fuscusking Aug 11, 2006 08:20 PM

I recently purchased some snakes from someone and they thru in a free boa. I deal strictly with pythons and know very little about boas. He has respitory(big suprise) but he also has some kind of lump inside him about 1/3 of his body up from his tail. It has been there for some time(2 weeks) and is now going away. He is not impacted because he has gone several times since I got him. Does anyone know what type of health problems they are prone to and any possible solutions. There are not any good reptile vets in my area that I trust. I have just about everything for my pythons(baytril, panacur, parazap ect). Right now he is being house in a 20L with an ambient temp of 86-90 day and 80-82 night. I know he could take it cooler, but I want to get the resp out naturally and not have to use meds. So far he has become more alert and more active, but this lump concerns me greatly, please advise. My email is fuscusking@yahoo.com THanks for your help. Dan.
