my girl just laid her first clutch and i was anticipating this for a while. i gave her calcium covered crickets, fed the crickets gut load b4 i put them in the leo cage, i gave her a nice vermiculite hide for laying and now i have 2 eggs. i made one mistake.. i didnt make the hole above the vermiculite and she sorta pushed it all against the enterance. over the course of the night she must have punctured an egg because one was oozing. to make a long story short...i was wondering if theres any way of constructing an incubator. i put a digi thermometer in the case with the egg and tried to regulate the temp with a heat lamp. please help. i would love to save this egg, and even if it turns out being infertile i need the practice

I don't use an incubator. I put all my eggs in the top of one of my closets. I run a cool mist humidifier in the bedroom right outside of the closet. It stays around 80 degrees year round and this works just fine. At 80 degrees I've always gotten females. These we're my first hatchlings of '06.

oh wow. see my lil girl broke the eggs with her nails because i did not make the enterance above the sphagnum. she pushed it all against the enterance and blocked herself in pretty much on top of the eggs. im upset about that but hey this is my first time around and nothing will go perfect.
