Can anyone help identify my Hermanns?

Shua Aug 12, 2006 11:17 AM

Hi,

I have had "Herman" for about 18 months now. The person whom I bought him/her from did not know the type of Hermann's he was, just that he was a "Hermann's". He is a terrific eater and seems to be doing well. He is about 3 inches lengthwise right now. When I got him/her, he or she was about the size of a quarter.

Would appreciate if someone can verify what species (Eastern, Western) of Hermann's he/she is and if possible, whether he/she is a boy or girl?

Thanks in advance.

Hermann is an Eastern Hermann's tortoise, Testudo hermanni boettgeri and a male.
