Bairdi pics

jtclark Aug 12, 2006 02:17 PM

I took my bairdi outside for some pics before her feeding today. I have had a hard time capturing her true colors and thought this would help. I'm pretty happy with how they turned out. I thought she was a high yellow when her colors first stated coming in, but she is very orange towards the middle and very yellow around the head and first 1/4 of her body. I love the variation. Is this fairly commmon?

Sugaree certainly is a pretty girl. Does she "shake it" (rattle her tail) on demand? You have some great GD names for your snakes--love it! Samson definately needs a Delilah in his life so the song title will be complete (lol). I have an amel striped corn named Ripple, and Althea is one of my Bci. My Samson & Delilah are leopard geckos. My other scaly critters have mostly god & goddess names, but gotta' keep Jerry's spirit close to the heart in the herp room.

Once I got going with Sugaree, I decided that all of my snakes would be named after Dead songs. Good thing theye have a huge catalog since these damn things are addicting. I was actually going to use Ripple next when I got my new corn a month ago, but he is a yellow male so I figured Jack Straw would work. Guess I will have to get a Ripple at the next show in a couple of weeks--lol.

Keeping on the music note, I thought you might appreciate these pics(actually I just love showing them off). The Black Crowes are my second favorite band and I got to meet them last week. These are a few pics from the show.

Rockers are like fine wine--they just get better with age. I should know--I married one.(lol) You're a fortunate to have met these guys in person--hubby and I got to meet RUSH their last time through. My husband has a t-shirt that says, "Geddy is God". I kinda' like your 'shroom shirt better, though.
Thanks for sharing the photos--they're awesome!

It can be difficult to capture all of their colors but you did a darn good job of it.
Very nice shots.
Does drive you crazy, though.
You look at the snake in sunlight and then look at the photos and know that although the photos are good, they still don't capture the beauty fully.
My males tend to have a little more yellow while the females tend to have a little more bronze but they both have both....lol

hope you don't mind if I post a couple of pics here with yours..
