outdoor cage

kingsnake1 Aug 12, 2006 02:51 PM

I am planning an outdoor cage for some new ornates. How deep do I need to go with the outside walls to keep them from burrowing beneath them in some rather harshly compacted clay /gumbo soil? I plan on adding much leaves, compost, sand etc. above that.

with mine I did 10 below and 11 above, seems to work well.
I'd skip using sand, it's a known irritant as it gets up in the folds of skin.
