Eugene died today.

not sure how..i just came home from a friends house and he was dead...he was fine 2 days ago,eating and had just recently shed his skin.

So sorry to hear of your little Eugene's passing. I'm still getting over the loss of one of mine from July.

If it was a sudden thing, you might want to consider getting a necropsy done by a good herp vet. I only say this because, it is a good idea to know what happened so it can be prevented in the future with other animals.

It's funny how non-herp people are surprised at how attached those of us in the hobby can be to our animals, it's always sad to lose one.

I know. If they only gave herps a chance, they would find that they too, each have distinct personalities, just like a cat or dog. People think these animals are not important because they aren't "typical" pets. It really bugs me!

I am so sorry for your loss. The recent pics you posted of him gave me reason to smile during an otherwise stressful day. From the pics it is clear that Eugene was, and still is, loved. Hopefully fond memories of him will ease this time.
