2 weeks after 1st shed and not eating

wisema2297 Aug 12, 2006 05:44 PM

One black rat hatchling ate the week following first shed and refused a week later (live pinks). The other has refused altogether. Could they still have yolk in them they are being sustained on? I just purchased a very pregant mouse so I will have day old pinks very soon.

I don't know the size of the hatchling or the meal they had last week but I don't see any reason to be concerned right now. Did they shed before you fed them? If not, they could be getting ready for that first shed. I would just leave them be and see what happens next week.
