First Clutch Hatching

irunfast Aug 13, 2006 01:06 AM

Just looked into the incubator to see my first clutch of bulls hatching. They are from my patternless albino het whitesided male to a het for albino, whitesided, and hypo female. There is nothing like the feeling of watching new bulls take their first breath. So far one albino and five normals. I am hoping all the whitesideds and albino whitesideds are just more patient! Can't wait to see what else will hatch. I didn't expect this clutch to hatch first, they were laid a week after my het for albino cape gopher eggs so I have been watching for the capes to hatch first. Oh well, as long as they all hatch I don't care. Will post pics as soon as they all emerge.

You are right, the feeling of a clutch hatching is a tough one to beat! It never does get "old hat" either. Every year I am just as excited to see what comes out. That sounds like it should be a killer clutch! Post pics when everyones out. Take care!

My capes just started hatching and aren't all out yet. That is great news on your bulls hatching, congrats and post pics if you get the chance. I will take pics of the Capes here soon, and i'm hoping for some sonoran morphs (and aberrancies if i'm lucky) in a week or two also.

Have a good one Ian,

Gregg F.
