Red Iguana??

RickMM Aug 13, 2006 09:04 AM

This guy is being offered for sale locally as a red iguana. I've read that males that turn orange during mating season can be mistaken for true red iguanas.

Seems like this one is a bit small to be sexually mature. So, other than size/age, is there any sure-fire way to identify a red iguana? Does this guy look like the real deal?

He looks pretty nice, except being a little on the skinny side. How much does he cost?

The price is (or was, if he's been snapped up by someone) $99.

Seems like a pretty good deal, if he's going to stay that color.

I'd buy him! I've never seen a small Iggy with that intense orange/red coloration.
If you don't buy him for yourself, grab him and sell him to me!
