Hey everyone,
I picked up a yearling snow corn earlier this year for $15 that had a single red scale on its neck. Now after its most recent shed it appears another small spot of red is forming on a second scale. The only reference I have seen to anything like this is the "ruby freckle" trait described as a sort of reverse piebaldism in the Love's cornsnake book. It lists the trait as relatively new and not well understood as of publication in 2000, so I was curious if anything new has been published on the genetics of this trait since then. Also, is this a common occurence among snows?
Thanks in advance,
Chris
