I just got my first bearded dragon not too long ago, but I have been collecting herps for about eight years now and I once had a savannah monitor. When I got the monitor I basicly saved it from the pet store and was forced to learn alot very fast to get him back to health sadly he only lasted seven years. I didnt get anything else till a friend was moving and had to reduce his herp collection. I adopted his dragon. I didnt know much but read they are one of the best first time herps. They are rarely aggressive and are hearty mine even watches my wife vacuum and seems to be amused by it. She ate the first day, she jumped on the food bowl almost before I could put it down. You are making an excellent choice with a dragon you cant go wrong. Not enough room here to explain everything but what I did was google bearded dragon and found a ton of care sheets good luck!
